World’s premier school-based junior development cycling program

OVERVIEW

The Miller School of Albemarle cycling team is an internationally recognized school-based girls and boys junior development cycling program. The team has forty-five riders from around the world and focuses on road cycling, XC mountain biking, cyclocross, gravel racing, and enduro mountain biking. All athletes are full-time students at the Miller School of Albemarle—a coeducational day and boarding school for grades 8-12 located in Charlottesville, Virginia.

OUR roads

Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, MSA is surrounded by seemingly endless world-class roads. From the Blue Ridge Parkway’s iconic climbs to beautiful gravel roads, the options for daily rides is unmatched.

OUR TRAILS

Athletes have immediate access to sixteen miles of purpose-built mountain bike trails on Miller School’s 1,600-acre campus. The trails include machine-built flow trails, technical enduro lines, and two cross-country race courses. MSA’s trails are widely considered some of the best in the state.

OUR ATHLETES

The team celebrates and encourages each athlete. Whether aiming for a professional cycling contract and national championships or simply enjoying the trails and the lifestyle of cycling, we support each athlete to pursue his or her passion to the fullest.

OUR COACHES

Our coaching staff works with athletes seven days a week. From long training rides to detailed power analysis, our team of coaches push athletes to be their best on and off of the bike.
