Q: Favorite aspect of being a student at Miller School of Albemarle.

There is something special about going to school with your teammates and friends and then riding, racing, and training with them. It is a super cool, unique experience. It makes riding your bike that much more fun. The support between coaches and teachers allows me to travel to races and enjoy what I am passionate about while keeping up with my class work.

Q: Favorite aspect of being a student at Miller School of Albemarle.

Being in eighth grade, I haven't experienced many classes yet , although so far I have really enjoyed the art class. I really enjoyed working with pencil and shading, I like the flexibility with projects and choosing what I want to draw.

Q: What is your favorite race of the year and why?

My favorite race of the season is probably Stokesville. There are many fun memories there, and so much hype. The trails are so fun and the race courses are always sick. There are a lot of good places to watch and cheer on your teammates along the course!

Q: Favorite Training Ride

My favorite training route is up the water tower to Burke’s Run, then down to the lake and up the long way to upper meadows. From there I like going to lower meadows and back up and around to the exit of Miller. I like this route because it gives me a good workout with some good climbing but some fun downhill as well. The meadows are always so pretty too.

What are your pre-race rituals/routines?

The morning of my race I like to eat a good sustainable breakfast. I listen to music and stretch. It often helps me to talk to my sister, parents, coaches, or friends before my race, this helps keep my nerves down and it helps to put me in a good mood before my race starts.

List 3 songs on your pre-race playlist:

This is a hard one…  I don't have one specific playlist or any specific songs that I listen to. The type of music I listen to in the morning or during my warm up depends on the mood I am in that day or before the race
